Christian Alvarado
Christian is the co-founder of CB Capital, an investment and real estate development firm based in Austin, Texas.
Prior to co-founding CB Capital, Christian served as the chief of staff and counsel to the chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission where he was responsible for implementing policy, legal, and technical strategies for the Commission’s regulation of the Texas oil, gas, coal, and pipeline industries. Christian also previously worked as an attorney at Jackson Walker, LLP where he advised corporate clients on business transactions including securities, mergers and acquisitions, business formation and governance. He has also served as a special assistant to then Texas Secretary of State Roger Williams. Governor Rick Perry appointed Christian to the One Call Board of Texas (responsible for notification systems designed to prevent underground damage to utilities and gas pipelines).
Christian was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to the Department of Information Resources’ Board of Directors. After completing that term, Governor Abbott appointed him to the Board of Directors for the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles where he currently serves. Christian is also a lead investor with Opportunity Austin.
Christian received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of North Texas and his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law where he was the staff editor for the Texas Journal of Oil, Gas, and Energy Law. Christian and his wife Krystle are blessed with three children and call Austin home.

Brian Haley

Brian Haley
Brian is the co-founder of CB Capital, an investment and real estate development firm based in Austin, TX.
Prior to co-founding CB Capital, Brian served as a vice president at Limestone Capital Advisors, an Austin based private equity firm founded by Admiral Bob Inman, where he developed and managed energy related opportunities in the United States and Asia.
Brian also previously served as an advisor to Governor Tim Pawlenty and Senator John McCain, leading their presidential national finance operations and raising more than $400MM. Prior to his time in politics, Brian helped lead Dell Inc.’s customer experience team in China/Hong Kong.
Brian currently serves as Canada’s Honorary Consul in Texas, as a term member with the Council on Foreign Relations, as a lead investor with Opportunity Austin, and serves on the boards of the Salvation Army of Central TX, the Texas Exes, Blanton Museum of Art, the UT School of Law, and the UT System Chancellor’s Council Executive Committee. He previously served as a public safety commissioner for the city of Austin, a member of the Texas Prepaid Higher Education Tuition Board ($2.4B AUM), and as the first student regent for the University of Texas System.
Brian received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin, where he was elected student body president, and his Juris Doctor from the University of Texas School of Law.
Brian and his wife Caroline are blessed with two children and call Austin home.

Sarah Baxter

Sarah Baxter
Sarah is Vice President of CB Capital, an investment and real estate development firm based in Austin, Texas.
Prior to CB, Sarah served as a Research Associate at McGuireWoods Consulting where she was responsible for assisting clients with lobbying efforts, research projects, and monitoring legislation. Sarah’s focus was broad, as she provided support to the entire Austin team.
Prior to McGuireWoods Consulting, Sarah served as a fundraising campaign consultant for clients on the local, state, and national levels. She has had the privilege of consulting on and raising money for presidential campaigns as well as nationally recognized political committees.
Before her time as a fundraiser, Sarah served as the Legislative Director to State Representative Larry Gonzales where she was responsible for drafting and monitoring legislation related to transportation, IT, appropriations, and government transparency as well as handling constituent and state agency relations.
Sarah is a former water quality analyst at the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, one of the largest agencies in the state. In this role she took flora and fauna samples and performed effluent analyses for water discharge permit applications.
Sarah is a licensed Sales Agent of real estate in Texas. She is also an Alumnus of the ATXelerator, an organization focused on educating and supporting civic leaders and the public about policy solutions that position Austin for future success. Sarah is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Forensic Investigative Science.

Diego Alvarado is an experienced commercial real estate broker and analyst specializing in industrial and commercial land acquisitions. With over eight years in the industry and millions of square feet acquired, Diego brings a comprehensive skill set and a strategic focus to each client engagement. His expertise extends from navigating land deals to providing in-depth analysis that supports his clients’ long-term goals.
Prior to his career in real estate brokerage, Diego held key roles in complementary industries, including his role with Mitchell Construction Company, where he facilitated large-scale commercial projects as a Project Leader, and as a Landman Analyst with NH Energy, where he cultivated his expertise in land acquisition services. Diego’s cross-industry experience enriches his understanding of market dynamics, construction, and investment strategies.
A Texas Tech University graduate, Diego now resides in Austin, Texas, where he combines his professional insight with a commitment to delivering personalized, results-driven service. His dedication and friendly and approachable style have made him a trusted advisor in the commercial real estate sector.

Corey Oppenheim

Corey Oppenheim
Corey is an analyst at CB Capital, an investment and real estate development firm based in Austin, Texas.
Prior to CB Capital, Corey graduated Cum Laude at the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor of Business Administration, double major in Managerial Finance and Banking Finance. During her time at the University of Mississippi, Corey was a member of the Alpha Phi Fraternity, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Aiden Rivera

Aiden Rivera
Aiden graduated from Oklahoma State University in the spring of 2025 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Management. While at OSU, he was an active member of the Baptist Collegiate Ministry, where he developed leadership skills and a strong sense of community. He also gained industry experience through a property management internship with Weidner Apartment Homes. In addition, since 2023, Aiden has been investing in single-family real estate, giving him hands-on knowledge of property ownership and management.
